Planning and Zoning Commission Participation
The Planning and Zoning Commission is a citizen group formed to advise the Mayor and the City Council on Planning and Zoning matters of long-range and citywide importance. Citizen participation is encouraged in all Commission business, and the Commission is often sought out by the public as a place to voice their concerns and opinions.

- To ensure a safer, more pleasant and more economical environment for residential, commercial, industrial and public activities
- To promote the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the entire City, including the aesthetic, social, economic, physical and environmental quality.
