The City of Montrose is a Statutory "Plan A" city with a Mayor - Council that are elected to represent the entire community and are empowered by state law to legislate city-wide policy. City offices are located at 311 Buffalo Avenue South. City office hours are 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 7:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday. The City office number is 763-575-7422.
- City Council meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Community Center.
- The Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month at5:30pm at City Hall or as otherwise announced.
- The Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Community Center.
